Operations Assistant

Background

At Green Biofuels, our mission is to reduce CO2 and improve air quality by replacing diesel with advanced fuels made from renewable organic waste. We have developed GREEN D+, the cleanest advanced fuel on the market, which reduces Greenhouse Gas emissions by 90%, particulates by 85% and Nitrous Oxide by 30%.

 

We supply GREEN D+ to some of the UK’s best-known companies, helping them track their carbon reductions and achieve their sustainability goals. We have ambitious growth plans and are looking for an operations assistant to help us manage and deliver the best possible service to our clients.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support and work with our Logistics Manager to help deliver fuel to our customers on time every time.

  • Help manage the deliveries of fuel from depot to multiple client sites.

  • Work with haulage contractors to arrange fuel collections and deliveries.

  • Liaise with client sites to agree drop-off schedules

  • Reconcile process for fuel movements, ensuring an audit trail from fuel terminal to client site

  • Develop strong working relationships with key staff at terminal operators, haulage companies and customers

  • Be one of the day to day faces of the company for our client base.

 

Our Requirements

  • Experience in a logistics role

  • Common sense approach to problem solving

  • Able to prioritise effectively

  • Ability to calmly manage operational issues as they arise

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

  • Excellent all round communication skills

  • Well organized and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Comfortable representing the company externally

  • Be quick thinking and able resolve problems with enthusiasm

  • Interest in the green economy

  • Able to come up with new ideas / ways of working and implement them.

  • Strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed.

  • Use of excel, word and MS office
     

This role will report to our Logistics Manager and be based in our offices, close to Stockbridge in Hampshire.

Customer Support Assistant

Department: Commercial

Reports to: Managing Director

Background

We supply GREEN D+ to some of the UK’s best-known companies, helping them track their carbon reductions and achieve their sustainability goals. We have ambitious growth plans and are looking for a new team member to provide day to day support to our customers.

Key deliverables (Essential duties and responsibilities)

Reporting to Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Supporting the COO and Sales Manager;

  • Provision of information to prospective and actual customers;

  • Management of sales database;

  • Drafting tender applications; and responses;

  • Researching and investigating potential target customers.

  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for customer orders, account statuses and relevant problems

  • Review pending orders and specific customers’ requests to ensure excellent customer service and customer experience

  • Build relationships and maintain regular contact with customers, to drive relationships forward.

  • Suggest sales process improvements

  • Participating in client review meetings and presenting on client specific activity

 

Requirements

You will be part of a small team and will be in daily contract with our customers. We are looking to hire someone who has:

  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers.

  • Flexible in order to meet client needs.

  • Ability to work both independently and under instruction.

  • An organised, systematic approach to prioritise and keep on top of daily tasks with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proven work experience as a Sales support specialist or Sales support associate

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel

  • In-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Analytical and multitasking skills

  • Articulate and confident representing the company

  • Comfortable working in a small team;

  • Has an interest in the green economy;

  • Is adaptable, resilient and prepared to grow with the role.
     

This role will be based in our offices close to Stockbridge in Hampshire.
