Accounts Payable / Receivable Assistant

Background
At Green Biofuels, our mission is to reduce CO2 and improve air quality by replacing diesel with advanced fuels made from renewable organic waste. We have developed GREEND+, the cleanest advanced fuel on the market, which reduces Greenhouse Gas emissions by 90%, particulates by 85% and Nitrous Oxide by 30%.
We supply GREEND+ to some of the UK’s best-known companies, helping them track their carbon reductions and achieve their sustainability goals. Our business is growing rapidly, and we are looking to hire a full time Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Assistant to manage our internal processes and represent our business to suppliers and customers.
Key deliverables (Essential duties and responsibilities)
Reporting to Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

Managing the company’s Accounts Receivable Ledger;

Day to day bank reconciliations;

Managing Accounts payable, and loading payment runs;

Liaising with Operations team to issue invoices;
-
Managing credit facilities within approved limits;
-
Support customer onboarding;
-
Investigate and resolve customer queries;
-
Produce regulatory returns, such as RDCO and VAT reporting;

Develop and improve our processes and procedures;
-
Support the annual audit of AP/AR.
Requirements
You will be part of a small team and will be in daily contract with our suppliers and customers. We are looking to hire someone who:

Is articulate and confident representing the company;
-
Has an interest in the green economy;
-
Works well in a small team;
-
Has experience in a similar position;
-
Ideally has experience working with Xero (though this is not essential) and Excel;
-
Is adaptable, resilient and prepared to grow with the role.
The role will initially be based from home, relocating to our offices close to Andover when circumstances allow.

Assistant Logistics Manager

We supply GREEND+ to some of the UK’s best-known companies, helping them track their carbon reductions and achieve their sustainability goals. We have ambitious growth plans and are looking for an ambitious logistics professional to help us manage deliver the best possible service to our clients.
Your Responsibilities

Manage the deliveries of fuel from depot to multiple client sites.

Work with haulage contractors to arrangefuel collections and deliveries.

Optimise cost efficient routes & schedules for multi-drop deliveries
-
Liaise with terminal operators to manage access
-
Liaise with client sites to agree drop-off schedules
-
Monitor fuel volumes on client sites (through electronic reporting) to schedule top-ups
-
Reconcile process for fuel movements, creating an audit trail from fuel terminal to client site
-
Prepare client invoices on the basis of reported fuel deliveries
-
Manage the ‘onboarding’ process for new contractors (haulage companies, fuel depots etc)

Oversee compliance by contractors with health and safety requirements
-
Develop strong working relationships with key staff at terminal operators, haulage companies and customers

Be the day to day face of the company for our client base.
Requirements

Experience in a logistics role

Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

Excellent all round communication skills

Well organized and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously

Strong Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills

Strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed.

Use of excel, word and MS office
This role will be UK based. Green Biofuels have offices in London and the South of England and the successful candidate must be able to travel to company offices and customer meetings as appropriate.
